What is the TFI Certificate?
The TFI (Test de Français International) is a standardized French language test designed to measure the listening and reading comprehension skills of non-native French speakers in academic, business, and workplace settings.

Versions of the TFI
There is one main version of the TFI:
TFI Listening and Reading Test
- Measures comprehension of spoken and written French
- CEFR levels A1 to C1+ (non-adaptive – fixed difficulty)
- Used for academic admissions, employment, and immigration
There is currently no official Speaking/Writing version like in TOEIC; the TFI focuses solely on passive skills (listening & reading).
